We’ve now hit the 1 year mark since our crowdfund was successfully funded, and what a busy year it’s been! Now that our Backerkit Surveys are locked in, we’re finally able to begin reward fulfillment. This means that over the coming months, we’ll be rolling out some digital rewards, as well as beginning our behind-the-scenes work streams!
Until then, we’re excited to share a more extensive update to fill everyone in on the last 12 months of production while showcasing new sneak peaks.
Now, without further adieu, let's dive in!
We kicked July off with a bang, immediately starting on pre-production once all pledge payments were processed. Over the subsequent months we focused on the concept stage for both the backerkit short and physical rewards.
SCRIPT COMPLETED!
Locking in the script had been our first order of business. “Ready or Not, Hear I Come”, a Hearts of Titan animated short highlighting the transitional period between childhood and adulthood. It’s packed with bittersweet, somber and silly moments! We were honored to work with a couple of sensitivity readers who proofread the script! After final edits, it was time to pass it along to our board artists!
Additionally, around this time we locked the script of Episode 1 (the comic) along with fully outlining Season 1! >:)

CONCEPT ART
Our team jumped headfirst into pre-prod! This was the messiest stage of our visual development, as we bounced various drafts back and forth while producing concept art, turnarounds, redesigns and more! In tandem, we worked on pre-vis illustrations to determine the overall mood of the short.

CONCEPT ART & CHARACTER DESIGNS
PROP DESIGN
Our very, very cursed props. Featuring bangers like “Divorcey Horsey”, “I <3 Identity Fraud” and “Mom I Rolled a Nat 20”. Showcasing various stages of the design process.
We have two cars featured in this short, driven by Kory and Ryan respectively. Despite the look of Kory’s car, she is the more responsible driver.
